Through our Community Partnership Program, we support programs and events that positively affect the health, safety, education and well-being of local area residents. Here are some of the programs where we have invested our resources and energy:
Energía Costa Azul/CEMEX Community Center
We joined efforts with CEMEX in the construction of a community center in the Carlos Pacheco neighborhood. This center will promote the development of the neighboring communities by providing training that will allow self-employment and the social participation of children, housewives and the elderly. Starting this fall, the center will offer classes in areas such as computers, English, cooking, sports, music, arts and crafts and sewing courses, among others. The neighborhoods that will benefit from this community center and its programs will be, among others, Valle Dorado, Costa Bella, Jalisco, Buenaventura and Hidalgo.
Hospital for the Children of the Californias
We at Energía Costa Azul, are proud of the commitment we have made to the children of Ensenada by joining forces with the Hospital for the Children of the Californias. We will sponsor a medical care and nutritional education program for 1,000 low income children that will include a physical exam and a weight and size analysis for each of them. Based on the results of these exams, and for those who need it, nutrition education will be provided to them and their families, as well as medical care in the hospital in Tijuana. Transportation expenses for the children and a relative, as well as medical expenses, will be covered by the program.
CETYS University
As part of our support for educational organizations and programs, we also support CETYS University with their Advanced Mobility Program for high school students. This program is already in its second year of operation and is designed to motivate the vocation of engineering in high school students offering them the opportunity to participate in advanced courses of electronics, physics, mechanics and computers in the School of Engineering.
